Kristi Pruett & Page Houser
Married December 3, 2011

Rain fell, like it always does in December, but on the third morning of this winter month, the rain gave way to a soft sunshine that illuminated the grounds of Camp Lucy in Dripping Springs, where Kristi Pruett and Page Houser were exchanging their vows. Silver lanterns lined the aisle, their fires lending warmth to the dark wood beams and stone floor of an intimate chapel where echoes of “I, Page, take you, Kristi” and “I, Kristi, take you, Page, as my best friend and my love for life” brought tears to the eyes of some of the family and friends who were watching. It was a sweet moment for the guests, who’d been waiting for this day ever since Page, who works for his family’s winery, first proposed to Kristi during a trip to Italy while they were visiting their favorite wine regions. For a couple who enjoy food and wine, it was easy to go with Royal Fig Catering to bring to life Kristi’s vision of a perfect winter wedding. “Winter is my favorite season and December is my favorite time of year. There is something romantic to me about the cooler weather and the festive spirit in the air.” Guests sipped wine and champagne from the ice bar during the cocktail hour, while Royal Fig served oysters, shrimp and crab claws to attendees, who spent the rest of the evening dancing to funk and soul music from the Memphis Train. According to the bride, the entire affair was “ethereal and romantic.”
